Gunny moderates this event, ensuring that everyone gets fair treatment. Don't worry! ^^ This event has been run every year since 2018 and never has someone left empty handed.
There is always a solution! Contact them via anonymous message on Sneaky Santa. Ask them what kind of alternative they may want. If that doesn't work then contact Gunny for help.
As long as you openly communicate with Gunny you will be fine. The only way to get in trouble is if you don't ever give a gift and accept a gift at the same time. Gunny has helped with gifts as delayed as mid January. Things happen!
Absolutely, this is by no means a contract. Just contact Gunny and he can work it out! Please let him know before he draws names if possible. If you have to drop out after that then it gets a little bit harder, but he can still make it work.
Excluding fees, stay within the mandatory budget range based on currency conversion. If the items on their wishlist are unavailable in your country, try contacting them anonymously on Sneaky Santa for alternatives. Always triple check that the gift you are buying for them will work between your two countries. Online codes are often region locked, especially for gift cards.

Nope! You are limited to the mandatory budget in total, so multiple gifts is a wonderful idea if possible.

Please don’t give gifts to other participants! Not only is it against the spirit of the event, but you may collide with other Secret Santas. Feel free to organize your own exchange of gifts with others though!

Absolutely!!! It is even encouraged if you feel capable enough!
Feel free to not pay for a rush job as long as you provide Gunny with proof of purchase prior to the exchange.
Writing is a wonderful form of art, though unfortunately it has been abused in the past and is no longer allowed. However, if you are a competent writer and your recipient is OK with writing then you can provide us with a gallery as proof and get permission.

Just replace "GunnyWaffle" with your own steam username and try it out.
If that doesn't work then you need to make your profile public. Open steam and go to View my profile > Edit Profile > Privacy Settings. Then set both My profile and Game details to Public.
Absolutely! It is about the cost in the end, not the value. If you can get a better gift within budget then please do so! :D
Valve has removed all methods of acquiring Steam keys from their platform. But there are ways around this that are legal and safe! If you don't care about anonymity, just add them as a friend on Steam during the gift exchange and gift that way. Otherwise read on.
There are lots of online stores and some offer Steam keys as an option! So buy a game through them instead of Steam. Research how the game is redeemed and check if a store app is required to play. If there are concerns, please use Sneaky Santa anonymous messaging to ask your gift recipient if they are OK with your store choice before you purchase. If the price seems too good to be true, it likely is!
Two popular stores are Humble Bundle and GOG.
