Happy Six Year Anniversary!
It’s hard to believe that another year has passed since we last celebrated the founding of our collective. Reflecting back on everything that has transpired since, we see a community lifting us high with kindness and encouragement, floating us through both our achievements and our many struggles. It’s no secret that life has been difficult for most of our staff members. Despite our lows, we’re able to laugh, smile, and continue creating. We have you all to thank for that. It sounds sappy, but it’s true! Foxglove Comics has been life changing for all of us, and we hope the same can be said for members of our community to some degree. Let’s face the coming year together, with our heads held high and our ambitions strong!
With that said, we’d like to celebrate what we’ve achieved throughout the year. Unfortunately, we’re far too busy to host any community events or produce any big collaborations like we have in the past. In fact, we released the last page of last year’s crossover collab comic The Sleepover Mishap today. If that isn’t an indicator of our backlog, we don’t know what is. Since we’re in full control of what we commit to do, we deliberately chose to do less this year and we encourage everyone to do the same when facing large expectations that are self-imposed. It’s okay to take it easy and just exist with your closest friends. Which is why Foxglove Comics staff will be playing Big Walk together September 14th and 15th at 7PM pacific time, live on Scott’s Twitch. We need to take it easy, but we also want to include y’all. We look forward to taking a big walk together.
Let’s look back at what led up to our six year anniversary, shall we?
Our Website
Overhauling our website was our biggest achievement as a collective this year, by far. Caytlin led the charge, redesigning every single page to be more intuitive, welcoming, and informative. Her illustrations and expertise in design brought our website into the modern era, or at least as close as we could manage with Squarespace’s exceptionally limited features.
Finalizing our new website was a herculean effort, with many members of our team contributing to help Caytlin past the finish line. We detailed the work we did with a newsletter earlier this year if you’d like to learn more. We’re happy with what we have now. Things could always be better, but it is a significant upgrade from what we initially launched in 2021.
Our Discord
The modern era of social media is powerful, but it is rife with many difficulties. It often brings out feelings of loneliness, overwhelming fear, boiling anger, and so many other painful emotions. There are genuinely wonderful people online and amazing resources, but you often have to sift through or endure the problems of the world to engage with them. This is why we have a Discord server, where we can cultivate what we want most out of the internet. We may be responsible for charting the course we take, but y’all are responsible for walking that path alongside us and we cannot be more thankful for where we are today thanks to your efforts.
We wish to highlight a shining example of this. Moumantai Motherf★ckers joined our collective a little over a year ago on August 30th, 2025. Since then, both htfcuddles and Russet have felt not only welcomed, but at home. They wish to thank everyone for their overwhelming engagement and warm support!
Our moderation team has been hard at work keeping the peace. They are constantly reflecting and striving to do better, which is why we released new rules to improve their clarity with hardened terminology and clearer intentions. As always, they deeply appreciate the reports y’all send in. They keep us informed and alert us to problems that may affect our community.
What excites us most is seeing the wonderful creations made by all the skilled creators in our community, be it art, writing, programming, everything under the sun! We appreciate everything we see, especially the blossoming projects being worked on with such inspiring passion. And yes, we also love all the memes featuring our staff and comics haha. Which is why we display all the community banners submitted to us with love and pride. Additionally, it warms our hearts to the melting point witnessing all the gifts being exchanged during our annual Secret Santa event.
We are so thrilled to have such a giving, kind, and creative community around us!
Our Comics
With so many comics and creators in our collective, we could probably write a novella detailing everything we have done over the course of the past year. As amazing as that could be, we prefer not to spend weeks on this newsletter. We’re barely getting this out the door as-is! We’d like to focus on the highlights, to give y’all an idea of where we’re at and what is soon to come.
Circus Animals has been on hiatus for a while now, though for good reason! Bheckadee was going through medical training and education. If you’re at all familiar with the Healthcare industry, you’d know how much of a time sink that can be. She’s elated to announce that she is now working full-time as a CMA and CPT! With this accomplishment comes more free time; time that she has spent regularly working on Circus Animals pages. Her buffer is nearly built back up again, which means pages are soon to be released once more! Circus Animals is coming back soon! That’s not all that’s around the corner. The collective is helping her revamp her Patreon, with new tiers, rewards, and integration with our Discord. We’re so excited!
Mothorial has also been on hiatus for an extended period of time. There are many reasons for this, though the most prominent has been Izzy’s pending legal status as a US resident. In case you are not aware, immigrants (typically) cannot work a job until they become US residents. Unfortunately, this includes online freelance work. Well, she is now legally recognized as a US resident with working rights! There is no set date yet for leaving hiatus, but Ari and Izzy have begun restructuring Mothorial, working on its writing and getting things ready to resume page work. In the meantime, Webtoon will be updated up to the current page. Their Patreon will remain dormant for now, though expect it to be spruced up in time for new pages! This time away from art has helped Izzy reconnect with the fun of art and helped her form a healthier relationship with the craft. She is excited to get back to working on the comic!
Moumantai Mother★ckers continues to release new chapters at a steady rate. In fact, htfcuddles and Russet attribute the strong momentum to having joined our collective. All the new fans have been a wind in their sails, making each new page a more enjoyable endeavor than ever before to produce. They’ve both been learning a lot from their fellow creators in the collective, taking advantage of the shared workspaces we have to absorb our knowledge and processes. As of recently, they have been receiving help from the collective to revamp their Patreon as well. Expect that to happen in the coming weeks! Ultimately, this has all helped htfcuddles with his mental health. Times have been rough for him due to health problems with him and his family, but he doesn’t feel alone and appreciates the support from the community and our collective.
Preeny is still going strong, despite its occasional breaks. Chapter 7 is the longest chapter yet, but it’s coming to a close soon! It’s been easier to read than ever before since the launch of its very own interactive website. Technically the website launched 4 days prior to last year’s anniversary, but it’s worth mentioning because it’s just so cool! Momo has been accepted into SPX (Small Press Expo) and will be selling the remainder of the “test print” Preeny book stock there. She is busy preparing for the convention in September, hence Preeny’s current break. She will also be debuting her new small comic there, Pestimonials! It’s a spiritual successor to her prior comic, The Bug Pond, and is a comedic and educational strip all about the fascinating world of bugs, with adult themes. Lastly, Momo aims to launch the Kickstarter for printing Preeny some time early next year. It got delayed quite a bit due to life events, but it’s on the horizon now!
Star Warriors remains on hiatus, though Gunny and Scott work on it when able. Unfortunately, they both continue to experience stressful and often significant life events at a regular rate. While they intend to withhold most of their problems from the public, Scott does wish to share that she is currently focused on taking care of her grandmother, who has late stage Alzheimer’s. Despite their battered state, they remain engaged and active. We commend them for their endurance and wish to thank our community for helping them get through these rough times. This couldn’t be seen more than in the success of Scott’s subathon on her Twitch. With 85 streams and counting since May, more than $25,000 CAD has been raised to pay off all of her debts, and then some! It’s awe-inspiring and she can’t thank our community enough. Thank you, so so much! She’s also found support in her new poly relationship, happily in love with Abby Abra, Azure Artomis, and Kuro. In an effort to keep her skills sharp and study art that challenges her, Scott has been working on a side comic called Wild Surge, which you can read on her Bluesky.
Tales of Kalzeria is now dormant, meaning that the comic is no longer being worked on. However, it is not canceled! NeonNoble intends to bring the comic back into her life once her ongoing situations resolve. In an effort to improve her life, she has resumed attending college. We’re wishing her the best!
Tamberlane is on a new more flexible update schedule, releasing multiple pages per update. With Chapter 5 entering its last sections, Ari and Caytlin have revealed a significant story beat that they’ve waited ten years for! Their readers are abuzz with theories and excitement, eager to see where the comic is headed next. Caytlin’s health continues to slowly improve with potential diagnoses and decent sleep for the first time in decades, enabling her to resume aspects of her life that she had to shelve due to debilitating pain and exhaustion. She was able to be a vendor at her first convention since before the pandemic and opened for commissions for the first time in many years. The Tamberlane shop is also seeing new merch, a result of Ari and Caytlin learning how to do fun projects for fun together and explore good merch design. Lastly, Caytlin has joined the volunteer-based development team for ClanGen, a Warrior Cats fangame. She’s learning more dev skills as a result, such as more advanced programming, git, and what it takes to work in a team on a big project.
Wrapping Up
It’s been a long time since we last opened our affiliate applications. We treasure our community affiliates and enjoy working with them when able, but we are too busy to process applications at this time. Our primary focus right now consists of several large projects working their way through the pipe. Our Co-directors, Gunny and Caytlin, are putting in significant effort to finalize these projects and get them released as soon as possible.
We also want to thank our helping hands, without whom we’d be woefully underequipped. They enable us to chase our dreams and provide support that is paramount to our continued success. They are unsung heroes that do a significant amount of work behind the scenes.
Phew! That was a lot to read, wasn’t it? To think that this is a significantly reduced summary. A lot happens in a year when so many people are involved!
