Welcome to Our New Website!
Hello all, and welcome to the new and improved Foxglove Comics website! It’s been a long time since we started with our fledgling web presence, and now that we have grown, it was time for our site to grow too. We have been working on this project for well over a year now and we are thrilled beyond measure to finally present it to you!
First and foremost, we wanted to shine the spotlight on our comics, so we’ve put them front and center on the front page! In addition, we spent a lot of time tweaking the layout for each individual comic’s information page so that we could highlight what makes them special, from a large splash banner at the top to a selection of comic pages to entice newcomers to give it a read.
We also updated our Group Collabs page to showcase not just our collab comics but also all the illustrations we’ve worked together on as well. Now you can get all of the previous years’ Secret Santa wallpapers, the illustrations for teasing a new comic, or our anniversary images all in one place!
But though our site is a showcase for our comics, it’s not the only thing we present! We spent a lot of time on the navigation to make frequently requested pages easier to find.
We now have the Community Hub for all the resources our community needs!
The References page has been added to the About dropdown, but we’ve also added links to each team member’s reference images from their bio on Meet the Team!
Want to submit a banner for our seasonal Discord banners? All of the guidelines are now cleanly laid out on the Community Banners page.
Our annual Secret Santa event, run by Gunny, is now on its own page, with its own FAQ!
And, of course, there are lots of new images that were created for the website, showcasing Foxglove and polishing up the visuals so that our site could shine. You’ll find all her new images on her section of the References page if you ever want to view them on their own, or you’ll find them sprinkled throughout the site!
Huge thanks to Caytlin for tackling the bulk of this project, from the design to the implementation to the images and backgrounds, but she didn’t do it alone. The whole team contributed to this lovely website! But there are special thanks to give as well: Temrin, T.Applesmith, Marco262, and Russet for their extensive work on alt text; YotaXP for swooping in with Javascript and CSS fixes; Gunny for in-depth reviewing of the website and copy, as well as helping wrangle our hosting platform; and Bheck, Izzy, Russet, and htfcuddles for keeping frequent company during website working sessions.
There are bound to be bugs still skittering around this place, so if you run into anything that’s not working as it should, please drop a thread in our #feedback-and-suggestions forum on our Discord. (Please note that there are some limitations due to the platform we're on, so we may not be able to fix everything, but we will try!)
For now, it’s time for our team to take a short, well-deserved rest before we’re off to our next project. We hope you enjoy — please explore to your heart’s content!
