Happy Five Year Anniversary!
It's been 5 whole years since we founded Foxglove Comics, embarking on a crazy journey to bring people together through the power of both comics and creation. There's no doubt about how much this collective has changed our lives, and this year in particular it has been a salve to our hearts. As is tradition, let's look back at this year together, shall we?
Discord
The seat of our community is our Discord, and we have been very busy sprucing it up this year! We are bumping up against 3000 members now, which is huge! Yet, it's not as much growth as we had last year, which is actually exactly what we expected and planned for. We’ve moved our focus away from growing the server this year to put our efforts into stabilizing and investing in our existing community instead.
We recently added the COMX server tag and did some general cleanup, streamlining our chat sections and updating our LGBTQIA+ role icons. We released a number of community PSAs to keep our members abreast of issues ranging from phishing to security updates — as well as squashing rumors and misinformation. We spent considerable effort codifying our moderation practices, in conjunction with really sprucing up the backend we use. As a result, we were able to welcome Aira as a new moderator! We also brought on Temrin as a helping hand, creating an even closer partnership with CozyCon!
In addition, we had 20 community banners submitted this year, the largest number yet. And our Secret Santa event was the biggest yet too, with 81 santas and over 100 gifts given! We are so thrilled to have such a giving, kind, and creative community around us!

Minecraft Server
We spent some of our time adding some extra functionality for our Minecraft server, which continues to thrive and blossom! We added auto-clicker functionality to our /afk command, and a shulker box viewer for Spawn Island. We also updated the chat bridge between our Minecraft server and Discord so that links are clickable in game and you can identify who's who between the two platforms.
We asked folks to share their favorite builds, here are a few! If you’d like to see more, our server is open to everyone in our Discord.
But we're not the only contributors to the Minecraft server! Gandeldalf has created a mod that will show our custom Discord emoji in game chat, which he has been diligently keeping up to date, and Mr. Cheese made an interactive map of the Nether highway network! It's so awesome to see folks stretching their creativity and skills to bring tools to others.
Unfortunately, it's not all good news: we've had to skip a few version releases of Minecraft while Gunny continues to wrestle with some dire IRL problems, but we hope to update to 1.21.9 when he gets some time to breathe!
Real Life
Speaking of IRL problems, we put on an emergency commission fundraiser to benefit Gunny's family during some significant distress, and it was a wild success! The money wound up helping his family with medical bills and surgery costs that happened shortly after the fundraiser concluded, something that would have been entirely out of reach without the incredible generosity of our community. Thank you!

We also had a commission fundraiser for Ari and Izzy after their living situation changed to help keep them stable until Izzy is no longer barred from working due to her student visa. This, too, was a big success and has allowed them to keep their home while they get through her immigration process!
The staff of Foxglove in general have been struggling this year, but the community has really helped us stay afloat and kept our spirits up. Thank you for all your kindness, encouragement, and well wishes. We could not ask for a more supportive community!
Comics
But y'all are mainly here for the comics, of course! Let's talk about those!
Two new comics joined our collective this year: Circus Animals by Bheckadee and Moumantai Motherf★ckers by htfcuddles and Russet. That brings us up to seven comics! Considering we started with Tamberlane and Kalzeria back in 2020, with Mothorial joining over the course of launching Foxglove, having so many amazing comics join us is such an amazing thing to see. We're thrilled to have you guys!
Both Star Warriors and Tamberlane revamped their Patreons this year to focus more heavily on their comics and relieve both Scott and Caytlin of extra responsibilities. They have both been thriving with the extra breathing room! Scott has opened up commissions outside of her Patreon and has been loving it, while Caytlin has been focusing heavily on her health and chasing creative freedom. Ari and Momo tabled together at TCAF 2025, selling Preeny and Tamberlane books
Tamberlane has been going strong this year due to Caytlin’s new Patreon, though the continuing journey of learning how to prioritize her health has been a learning process for her. Still, it's been an upward trend and breaks have been few and far between. In addition, the Arc 1 Omnibus was finally released to the shop this year, along with the revamped softcovers for Books 1-4. All of the narrative edits Caytlin and Ari made for the omnibus were reflected across the website and its mirrors, as well, bringing the comic fully up to date.
Mothorial's break continues as Izzy focuses on college work and immigration. Both Ari and Izzy are very excited to resume Mothorial work, but until she's off the student visa, she cannot. But both have remained active members in the community and they're raring to go when she's fully immigrated!

Star Warriors celebrated its 10 year anniversary this year, which is incredible!! Few comics have lasted so long, and though it has continued its break due to Scott and Gunny having the worst year of their lives IRL, they have both been doggedly working on the story bible, character references, and more in the background. Polaris endures!
Kalzeria is slowly coming off of hiatus! Neon has been exploring other artistic mediums and learning awesome things like Blender and 3D printing, as well as trying her hand at other projects. We're thrilled to see her branching out! Learning new things always brings inspiration and helps battle that insidious burnout. We're excited to see what happens next!
Test print of the Preeny book alongside the Tamberlane Omnibus, both sold at TCAF 2025!
Momo made a test print book of her comic, Preeny Has to Repeat 6th Grade, and brought it to TCAF. A more complete and polished book with bonus content is still in the works for a future Kickstarter, and we can't wait! We don’t have a launch date yet, but we are very excited nonetheless! Preeny also has a brand new website and it is one of the most charming things we've ever seen. It’s full of 00's internet nostalgia in its design and chock full of features that let you be ultra creative. Preeny is returning with more amazing pages — though those sparklewolves are really running Momo through the ringer with their over the top flare! Don’t worry, she adores them regardless.
Circus Animals has been very well received by the community and we are all excited for more Verm and Bee pestering Preston when Bheck resumes from break. Right now she's focused on getting settled into her new medical assistant program at college, but we hear that the break is going to end somewhat soon!

Moumantai Motherf★ckers production is well underway into the next chapter, and they report that it's going great. We're looking forward to more of Sher, Rowi, and D on their adventures!
Final News
I know we usually open up affiliate applications this time of year, but we are swamped right now. So no new affiliates this time! We're focusing on keeping our heads above water. Which, truly, has been made possible by the dozens of community members that have supported us and cheered us on. Thank you again!

The Foxglove Comics creators have rallied together to create a fresh collaborative comic to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Join Foxglove and our comics’ characters at their sleepover, where something goes horribly awry! We will be releasing a new page of this collab comic once a week (ish), until its conclusion at the end of October (ish). Given how things have been for us lately, we need to take it a bit easy. Which is why we’re giving ourselves squishy deadlines so that we don’t put ourselves over a barrel. You can read the comic on our collabs page, where the first page has already been released! Each new page will be posted to our Bluesky, in our Discord, and added to our collabs page.
We're holding an event in our Discord tomorrow on Saturday: a jigsaw puzzle game! Using the free game Jigsaw Puzzle Dreams, Caytlin will be hosting a room where up to 10 people at a time can join and put together a custom puzzle of the first panel from our collaboration comic. Come vibe, listen to chill music, chat (or don't), drop in and out, and do some puzzles. It’s going to be a relaxing time~
We have some other things — big things! — planned for the future. Things we wanted to have done by the anniversary, but we did ourselves a kindness by letting us take our time. So consider this a little tease, letting you know we have some more cool things in motion.
